NIN means National Identity Numbers. It is a unique 11 digit numbers given to every Nigerian after successful registration of the new Nigerian National Identity Card.
The Nigerian Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has also directed that subscribers can link their NIN to more than one Sim cards.
Note: To link your NIN to more than one sim cards you have to do it one after the other. E.g. If you have two sim cards (MTN and AIRTEL) you will use the code for MTN and the code for AIRTEL to link it. And also if you have the same network (two MTN) you can also link it using the code.
